Firearms Recovered During Search Warrant

On Wednesday, February 8th , 2023, officers of the Coalinga Police Department, with the assistance of the Crisis Response Team from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Avenal Police Department and the California Highway Patrol, served search warrants in the 300 block of E. Valley, 300 block of E. Houston and 400 block of W. Forest, related to some of the recent shootings in the City.

During the search warrant, unregistered loaded firearms, methamphetamine and packaging material were recovered. Coalinga resident Oscar Contreras was arrested for probation violations. Coalinga resident Samuel Contreras was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

Coalinga resident Wendy Lopez was arrested for being an accessory to a felony, and 16-year-old
Coalinga resident was arrested for possession of firearms. All subjects had ties to the Bulldog
criminal street gang.
